Glen Trothy Caravan and Camping site is situated in South Wales a couple of miles away from the Welsh town of Monmouth. The campsite is actual in the small village of Mitchel Troy where you can buy all your everyday needs. The campsite is set in tranquil secluded countryside and is a very quiet and peaceful park of Wales and is right beside the River Trothy.
This puts this campsite is an ideal location for a quiet family holiday and with the campsite three fields (one for caravans and two for tents) you know you are in for an excellent time in one of the campsites 124 pitches(74 caravan and 50 tents). The campsite is also beside the Wye Wally and the Royal Forest of Dean where you can spend days exploring the area of these two great Welsh locations. There are so many other visitor attractions on offer in the nearby area including castles and abbeys to visit so plan your holiday well so you don’t miss one of these very informative South Wales attractions.
All the caravan pitches have electric hook ups, but if you are bring your tent there are only a few available and this is first come first served. There are water points throughout the campsite. If you run out of gas or just forget it there is propane and butane gas and camping gas available from within the campsite. Please be aware that some of the pitches are only seasonal so if you are planning to visit off-peak or even on peak please go to the website for Glen Trothy and fill in their form for availability so you are not disappointed if they do not have enough space for your touring caravan. To only point to note if you are bring your caravan is that it cant be wider the 8 foot and with tents these can’t be bigger than 16 foot x 16 foot. If you tent is slightly bigger that this it is possible to pay for two pitches.
