Acorn Camping and Caravan site would be an excellent site to take your family on a peaceful holiday as this campsite is for the family looking for the same thing – a holiday without any hassle. There are 105 pitches available at the site, and they can accommodate touring caravans, tents, and Motor Homes with well-spaced pitches.

There is a quiet time at this site between 11 pm and 7 am, and there is a strict rule that excessive drinking and groups of young adults are not allowed at any time in a rural area of South Wales. So if you want a party, there are better places to go than this campsite.

As with most caravan parks this day, Acorn is no different with its excellent facilities. There is a very modern amenity block where you can have free hot showers. There are separate showers for both ladies and gents. There are free hairdryers in both areas, with the gents having a shaver point included. Baby changing facilities are also located in this block with everything you will need for this daily activity.

There is a dishwashing area, a laundry area with washing machines, and a tumble dryer, so you can always keep your clothes clean if you have not brought these facilities with you.

If you forget to bring the gas or run the gas runs out, a store sells all this on the site. As this is a child-encouraged campsite, there is a children's play area with several items that will keep your children busy for hours so you can relax and read a good book. Also, there is a games room with a pool table, table tennis and air hockey available on the site. And if you want time with just the adults, there is an only adult's room with a full-size snooker table. You can buy takeaway food that is also in the shop on site, and this can be handled if you want to avoid cooking in the evenings.

This caravan and camping site is so well located. It is only a matter of a 15-minute drive from the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff and all the other amenities that Cardiff has to offer. If you want to take the train to Cardiff, a service for Llantwit will take you to Cardiff, and this is hourly for most of the week.
